Uniform Policy

Disciplinary Action against improper uniforms to be enforced starting October 13, 2009

Starting October 13, 2009, all students are expected to wear their complete uniforms. Disciplinary action will be taken against students who do not wear their proper uniforms. The only exceptions are students who have placed their orders but have not yet received their uniforms.

1^st & 2^nd Offence – Warning and verbal reminder to meet classroom expectation

3^rd Offence – Teacher-student conference; possible imposition of after school detention.

4^th Offence – Teacher and parent conference with the student present.

5^th Offence – Referral to Principal and you will be grounded for 2 weeks

JAVASCRIPT EXAMPLE: Marquee and Image Port VIEW SOURCE

Resizing and moving the marquee (an instance of the Uize.Widget.Resizer.Marquee widget class) updates the masking in order to highlight the marquee region, but also sets values for the image port widget (an instance of the Uize.Widget.ImagePort.Draggable widget class) to the right, so that the image port effectively shows the enlarged view of the marquee region. Click-and-dragging on the image port feeds back into the marquee widget to the left, so that the marquee is always positioned to correctly reflect the area shown in the image port. If you use the Ctrl key when click-and-dragging on the image port, it will zoom in or zoom out the image port's view when you move the mouse up or down, respectively. When you do this, the marquee is updated to stay in sync.

Shortly after the commencing of a new school year, the students eagerly and quickly planned an iftaar dinner during Ramadan for the school and the public. Dinner was catered from Pizza Hut and Popeyes, and dessert was brought in by Ms Sambi . With over 200 attendees, the event, needless to say, was a success!

The Islamic School of Cambridge was established in September 1992. It opened its doors with 18 students and 2 teachers. Tehfeez (Memorization of Quran) was the main focus of the school for the first 5 years of its life and by 1999, 20 students completed the requirements of Tehfeez program and became Hafiz. The Tehfeez program included coaching in Math and English for grades 1 to 8. Since September 1997, the school has been running a regular elementary school program following provincial curriculum. The Islamic Studies and Iqra (Reading of Quran or reciting of Quran) are part of the regular program. ISOC has matured into an established elementary school, Pre-Kindergarten through the 6th Grade with a clear mission and strong philosophy. We are known as a warm, nurturing school community that provides support and challenge for our students. Teachers are trained and bring an extraordinary dedication to their work. Involved parents support the school in numerable ways, and the Board of Directors set ambitious goals for the school’s future. he Islamic School of Cambridge (ISOC) is registered as a private school with the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training. It is owned and operated by the Islamic Centre of Cambridge. ISC does not receive any funding from any government sources. The school is financially supported by students’ fees and donations from the Muslim community at large. The Islamic School of Cambridge is located at 1550 Dunbar Road in Cambridge adjacent to the Jami Mosque. The ISOC is currently a junior kindergarten to grade 8 school serving the community since 1992. It provides an Islamic learning environment which gives children the strong and stable foundation that they need to succeed in this world and thereafter. The students learn and practice Islamic manners, self-discipline, responsibility and courtesy while dealing with their peers and teachers and most importantly the love of Allah and the Prophet (p.b.u.h.)
